CENTRAL LONDON CONGESTION CHARGING

zone.
From February
2003 to drive or park on public roads in the central London congestion
charging zone from 7:00am to 18.30pm , Monday to Friday (excluding bank
holidays and weekends), you must pay a £5.00 daily
charge.
Cameras will
read your number plate as you enter or drive within the charging zone and
check it against the database.
You can pay
the £5.00 daily charge in advance or on the day of travel up to
22.00.
If you pay the
charge between 22.00 and midnight on your day of travel within the congestion
charging zone you will incur a £5.00 surcharge; therefore you will pay a total
of £10.00. If you do not pay the charge by midnight on the day of travel, you
will incur a £80.00 penalty charge (reduced to £40.00 if paid within 14 days.
After 28 days the penalty charge will increase to
£120.00)
